Elegantly proportioned and gorgeously formed and colored the glass objects made by expatriate Japanese master Yoichi Ohira are among the most remarkable products of the glass-blowing industry on the Venetian island of Murano. Scores of swirled and patterned objects are shown in vibrant color photographs here many filling the page and some showing the unique surface textures achieved by Ohira who has spent decades researching and reformulating the properties of the glass.
