Within the sense of education the glory of the past days stand as the grand tour days or the learning by experience profiles. The peripatetics of the past believed to reach the knowledge through the path. Those paths were the unknown ones not described before. So each walking trip would be depending upon the participants path duration way and many other details. This was related with the idea of finding more about the self and life. With whom you're walking was very important. Specifically in Ancient Greece the pupils of Aristotle were learning through his open school out of the borders of the classes or school. The way they learn the reason of learning and the learning process would be depending upon how much you'd like to learn and what are the things to be learned. The word "peripatetic" is often used to mean itinerant wandering meandering or walking about. After Aristotle's death a legend arose that he was a "peripatetic" lecturer that he walked about as he taught and the designation Peripatetikos came to replace the original Peripatos.
