We as the reader may be assured that even though Treasure Island is in some ways much more romantic than entirely realistic it is definitely true to its place and time.

This novel might be read simply for enjoying an adventure or exciting story without trying to see any references or encoding any metaphors since combing it for experience or moral guidelines may be to miss the point completely although the novel does yield some of each.
