In his preface Italian critic Francesco Dal Co underlines the power of geometry in Ungers' rational largely cubic forms; the book then documents 19 competition projects and 21 buildings including Ungers' own house in Cologne one of the most successful achievements of his career with drawings and color and black and white photos and commentary by the architect.
