Rabaa was the fall after the Arab Spring; while January 2011 was a season of growth and change the summer of 2013 and the massacre in Rabaa ushered in a season of death and destruction. This is not about politics; what happened in Rabaa was about the people. Fathers and daughters mothers and sons doctors teachers men and women with courage and faith. They each had their own reasons for being in the square that day they each had their own stories to tell. There are so many stories as to what happened in Egypt in the summer of 2013. But instead of attempting to sway you with our words we will show you. I hopes of documenting what happened in Rabaa and Nahda squares the Rabaa Story Foundation (RSF) was established. Using these photographs each one worth a thousand words the Foundation hopes to shed some light on the Rabaa and Nahda massacres. The RSF aims at raising awareness of the massacre that happened on August 14th 2013 in Rabaa Square. The goal of the foundation is to mobilize the international community to take legal and political action against those in charge of the human rights violations that occurred that day. In order to do so the foundation seeks to document communicate and commemorate every aspect of the massacre.
