Stefan Zweig (born November 28 1881 Vienna Austro-Hungarian Empire [now in Austria] found dead February 23 1942 Petrópolis near Rio de Janeiro Brazil) novelist biographer poet and translator was born in Vienna into a wealthy Austrian-Jewish family. He studied at the Universities of Berlin and Vienna.
