Globalisation Modern Development and Europeanisation is a compilation of essays on international politics. 9/11 in 2001 is perhaps one of the most important breaking points in the development of the politics of globalisation. The hegemony of global politics had been shattered that day. As far as the security of nation-states is concerned the world as we ‗knew' it has changed since then. Not long after the attack six years later the Wall Street and the global financial system had a breakdown. Arguably the global financial crisis put an end to the hegemony of neoliberalisation in that period. Finally the covid-19 pandemic shook the world in 2020. Not only the politics of global liberal order has been brutally impacted by the pandemic such as the rise of far-right politics but also the entire global mobility has been severely disrupted by the virus. This book is an attempt to make sense of all these disturbances in international politics.
