The Department of Translation and Interpreting Studies at Boğaziçi University established in 1983 is launching this series of publications to help familiarize the world with contemporary Turkish literature through English translations of recent works by celebrated Turkish authors poets and playwrights.

A broad range in both sytle and subject matter is represented among the outstanding writings -in all literary genres- appearing on the vibrant literary scene in Turkey today. The endeavor to present this literature to an international audience was begun several years ago in the virtual arena. Boğaziçi University Press is now making such translations available in a printed format.
